YES! I’ve found that when your titles and tags match, the search engine knows “this listing is definitely what the buyer is looking for”, meanwhile when you have similar keywords that are different in your titles and tags, then the search engine is less confident in your listing.

I use the Etsy search engine to find keywords that are similar to what your target market is searching to generate more organic traffic.
